It has already been a hot start to Summer. What better way to cool yourself off than jumping in the pool. For some of us, it is very easy. There are others who would like to, but they are not able to. There is now a program that allows that, and they need your help.
The Capper Foundation is an organization that helps build abilities and gives encouragement to intellectual and developmental children and adults in Topeka. They are hosting an event which is called iCan Swim. Here is what the website says:
Teaching people with disabilities to swim is not only a good idea, it’s essential. Creating an effective swimming program for people with disabilities takes a patient understanding of each swimmer as well as a well-thought-out plan for how the lessons can be adapted to each child.
The program will start on July 15th and end on the 19th. You can sign up someone on this link. You can also help volunteer, which is very important for this program. If you need any more info, call 785-272-4060
