Majic 107.7, Prairie Band Casino and Resorts, along with Westside Stamp & Awards were very happy to award this years Crystal Apple grand prize on Tuesday.

Lonna Latimer is a kindergarten teacher at State Street Elementary School. She was nominated and won the Crystal Apple award for the month of October. Here is what the anonymous person had to say about Lonna:

““Ms. Latimer is a great teacher, she is the sweetest and most fun, kind, teacher! She treats every kid equal she treats them as they were her own bundle of kids. She encourages everyone of her students to doing better. I couldn’t ask for a better teacher for my daughter she struggled in the beginning but Mrs. Latimer got her to spend more one on one and get more comfortable and she drastically improved! She is a True Teacher who puts her students needs first!”

The Majic Morning Show with Angie & Sean, along with representatives from  Prairie Band and a crew from KSNT surprised Lonna during the State Street weekly assembly before they start classes. Needless to say Lonna was shocked!

State Street Elementary received a $1,000 donation, and Lonna gets a nice prize pack from Prairie Band. The day was complete when Lonna’s family surprised her at the assembly.
