Lonna Latimer, kindergarten teacher at State Street Elementary school, is our October Crystal Apple Winner!

Ms. Latimer actually attended State Street Elementary school so she has seen it go through many changes including doubling in size when additions were added in 2008 and 2012.

“Ms. Latimer is a great teacher, she is the sweetest and most fun, kind, teacher! She treats every kid equal she treats them as they were her own bundle of kids. She encourages everyone of her students to doing better. I couldn’t ask for a better teacher for my daughter she struggled in the beginning but Mrs. Latimer got her to spend more one on one and get more comfortable and she drastically improved! She is a True Teacher who puts her students needs first!”

Crystal apple recipients each receive a Prairie Band Casino Prize pack, which includes $50 in Prairie Cash, 2 Dinner Buffets and $44 to Bingo, as well as a commemorative Crystal Apple trophy. Recipients are also entered in to the Educator of the Year GRAND PRIZE: an overnight stay package at Prairie Band Casino & Resort. The package includes one overnight stay at the resort, $100 Prairie Cash, and $50 to the Steakhouse. But that’s not all – there will also be a $1000 donation given to the educator of the year’s school!
