Business Insider has named Topeka as the most violent city in Kansas and ranked # 32 in the nation. The ranking was based on FBI crime statistics reports between January and June of 2017 in cities with over 100,000 in population. Topeka had a record number of 30 homicides in 2017. This study recommended not ranking cities as it could be misleading. Also, Kansas City and Wichita were NOT included in this study.
