Topeka Teacher wins Crystal Apple Award

We would like to congratulate Ms. Cesalee Brown, a Science teacher from Capital City School for being our March Crystal Apple Award Winner! Ms. Brown was nominated for being an exceptional teacher but also teaching her students about trial, errors, and success.

Ms. Brown had given her students a science project in hopes of discovering ways to solve world hunger. When her student’s first attempts weren’t successful she kept encouraging them and taught them that failure is just a part of science. When her students finally successfully completed their project they took away more than just a science project but also learned valuable life lessons.

Thank you to Ms. Brown for being such an outstanding educator! For her efforts, she will receive a glass apple personalized trophy and a Prairie Band Casino & Resort prize pack. She is also entered to be teacher of the YEAR and have $1000 donated to her school.

If you have a teacher that deserves to be recognized, enter them here!
