After a successful inaugural run last year, the I Love the ’90s Tour is making a comeback this summer. And, they’ll be in Bonner Springs, Kansas on Friday, August 11. Doors for the Kansas City show open at 5pm and show starts at 6:30pm.
While the 2016 run of dates trotted out Vanilla Ice, Salt N Pepa, Kid N Play, and All-4-One, this year’s tour will see the grand return of TLC to the concert stage, performing their hits plus music from their upcoming new album. Sugar Ray’s Mark McGrath, Naughty by Nature, Biz Markie, Montell Jordan, C+C Music Factory with Freedom Williams, and SNAP! will be joining them.
TLC made history back in 1994 when their second album, CrazySexyCool, featuring songs like “Creep” and “Waterfalls,” became the only album by a female group to reach diamond status. Since then, they’ve released two additional albums, the most recent being 2002’s 3D, which came out soon after founding member Lisa “Left Eye” Lopes died in a car accident. Their forthcoming album will be the first recorded without Lopes.
“We’re so excited to get back on the road this summer and give our fans some new TLC music along with our original hits,” TLC said in a statement. “Being able to headline this tour with our friends and peers from the ’90s is SO AMAZING!”
