Topeka and Shawnee County First Responders to host 9th Annual “Trunk or Treat” on Halloween night

The Topeka Police Department (TPD) and other local first responders are excited to host the 9th Annual Public Safety Trunk or Treat on Halloween night in downtown Topeka.

The event will take place on Thursday, October 31, 2024, from 6 p.m. until 8 p.m. along SE 7th St. between S Kansas Ave. and SE Quincy St. and on S Kansas Ave. between 6th and 7th St. Parking will be available on city streets and at nearby garages.

Beginning at 4:30 p.m. on October 31, TPD will close S Kansas Ave. between 6th and 7th streets, and SE 7th St. between S Kansas Ave. and SE Quincy St.

Participating agencies will include the Topeka Police Department, Topeka Fire Department, Shawnee County Sheriff’s Office, American Medical Response, Kansas Highway Patrol, Washburn Police Department, Topeka Police Department Citizens Academy Ambassadors, and Volunteers in Police Service among others.

All are welcome to attend this free event where candy and other items will be provided.
