Evergy plaza is alight this holiday season! On December 2nd join Evergy for the “Mayor’s Christmas Tree Lighting” at 5:30 p.m. on the plaza. Enjoy carolers singing classic Christmas songs as well as the Christmas lights decorating Evergy Plaza that will be up all this season. You can also warm up with some snacks and hot chocolate served by Poppin Minis and It’s a Sweet Treat Day Bakery.

Then, at 6pm the Miracle on Kansas Avenue, Topeka’s Christmas Parade, kicks off. The parade starts at 4th and Kansas and travels south to 10th. While the route has traditionally headed West one block and back up Jackson, with road work this year on Jackson, we’re waiting to hear if the route changes for 2023.
