Capper Foundation is excited to welcome award-winning Bluegrass artist and Topeka resident Rick Faris and the Faris Brothers for our 2023 Concert for a Child. The event will be held on August 3, 2023, at The Gilbert Ranch in Tecumseh, Kansas, starting at 6:45 p.m. with a pre-concert meal.

Rick was named “New Artist of the Year” at the 2022 International Bluegrass Music Association’s Awards ceremony last September. Rick’s powerful vocals and virtuoso mandolin and guitar playing are carrying Bluegrass music forward to a new generation of listeners.

Rick’s “Concert for a Child” performance will be especially meaningful as his son Parker receives pediatric therapy services at Capper Foundation. Proceeds from the event will benefit Pediatric Services at Capper, and provide other kids with disabilities access to life-changing therapies, allowing them to advance their hopes and dreams.
