Shawnee County Parks + Recreation is already recruiting for the warm weather season as it looks to fill 400 seasonal positions. Positions range from camp counselors to lifeguards, horticulture staff to work in gardens, park maintenance and golf course maintenance staff, concessions staff and cashiers, and even drives for the Gage Park mini-train. Pay ranges from $10-$15 per hours depending on experience. 

The positions are particularly good for high school and college students, retirees, teachers and others with schedules tied to an academic year.
