Congratulations to Mr. Kyle Fowler! He is our latest Crystal Apple Award Winner! He loves building relationships with students and making a difference in their lives. Below is part of his nomination letter:

Kyle Fowler is an amazing History teacher at Washburn Rural High School in Topeka Kansas. He has a great teaching technique. He is also extremely nice and just a great teacher. He works great with all of his students and helps them when they need it. He wants the best for all of his students and even students who aren’t in his class.

Mr. Fowler was definitely my favorite teacher in high school. He treats his students like they are his children. He is just overall amazing at his job.

Then, once a year, we select a grand prize winner. Our next teacher of the year will be selected in January of 2022. That winner will receive a $1,000 donation to their school, plus $100 in Prairie Cash, $25 to Ember’s Bar & Grill, an overnight stay at Prairie Band Casino & Resort, and $100 to Three Fires Steakhouse.
