There are some schools who are having students go to school remotely. One of those schools has a teacher that made a parent nominate her and land her our latest Crystal Apple Award.

Deanne Kelly is a 3rd grade teacher at Timmerman Elementary in Emporia. She has been teaching for 21 years and has been since the beginning of the school year teaching kids remotely. This is what her nominee had to say:

 

“I would like to nominate Mrs. Kelly (3rd grade teacher) at Timmerman Elementary school in Emporia, KS.

She has gone above and beyond for her students. She is teaching remote learners this semester. As a parent, I was amazed by her energy, caring, and patience for the students.

Deanne is our latest Crystal Apple winner! She will receive a Crystal Apple award, along with some nice prizes from PRAIRIE BAND CASINO AND RESORT. Deanne will also be in the running for a $1,000 donation, which will be awarded sometime in January of 2022.
