Music is an art that appeals to everyone. Especially when you are in high school. Our latest Crystal Apple winner has made a huge impression on one local high school.
Mr Carry Stahly is the Director of Bands at Seaman High School. The person who nominated Cary has some amazing things to say about the leader.
I’d like to nominate Mr. Cary Stahly, Director of Bands at Seaman High School, for the Crystal Apple Award. He’s a true professional, active in KMEA, and a gift to the Seaman band, students, parents and KS music enthusiasts.
The large Seaman High band has more than tripled in size during the 21 years Mr. Cary Stahly has been the director. He is a talented, caring, & inspiring teacher, leading his bands to many achievements. The youth benefit from his enthusiasm for the love of music and total support. He ensures equal participation opportunities. My children have enjoyed 8 years of his direction and my son is now in the 2020 state honors jazz band and more. Mr. Stahly makes learning music fun and he is appreciated.
