Spring is finally here and just in time for the 2019 Tulip Time Festival. The festival will be held at the Ted Ensley Gardens at Lake Shawnee on April 7th.
The morning of the festival will start off with a pancake breakfast starting at 8 a.m. and going till 10 a.m. Tickets will be five dollars. Attending the festival will also be multiple different vendors to enjoy, along with live music and games for the children.
According to the press release the schedule of the Tulip Time Festival will be:
8-10 a.m. Pancake Breakfast
10 a.m. Shawnee County Parks + Recreation Rec+Roll Van and games
10-3 p.m. Vendors (Car show weather permitting, Free plants for children, flower coloring pages, Make a guess on how many onions in the jar to win free hanging plants, Bookmobile)
Noon Queen crowing event,
1 p.m. Topeka High Drum Line,
2 p.m. Diane Gillenwater Violen and string music.
If you have never been to the Tulip Time Festival, then you should know that there are 60,000 tulips that are at the Ted Ensley Gardens at Lake Shawnee that thousands of people from all around come to see.
