Sabrina Grienke, second grade teacher from Overbrook Elementary, is December’s Crystal Apple winner because of this nomination:

“Mrs. Grienke is an awesome teacher! She goes above and beyond to help her students. My son is only in the 2nd grade and if it was not for her I do not think he would be doing so well this year in school. The last 2 years the teachers would just give up on him and not give him a chance to succeed. Because of her he is doing 4th grade math work and is starting to enjoy reading!”

Crystal apple recipients each receive a Prairie Band Casino Prize pack, which includes $50 in Prairie Cash, 2 Dinner Buffets and $44 to Bingo, as well as a commemorative Crystal Apple trophy. Recipients are also entered in to the Educator of the Year GRAND PRIZE.
