Ink for Equality is a tattoo benefit for the YWCA of Topeka. Custom flash tattoos are available and priced between $40 and $120. All proceeds will be given to the YWCA. This full day event will also feature refreshments and hourly raffle prize drawings thanks to Looking Glass Tattoo & Gallery.
Judith White, owner, and artist at Looking Glass, says of the event, “Ink for Equality is more than a fundraiser. It’s our way to get more people involved and raise awareness. Hopefully, it’s something we can do every year because this organization is so important to our community.” Looking Glass has been a long time supporter of the YWCA and their artists regularly donate art for the annual Concealed Revealed Art Auction that benefits the YWCA Center for Safety and Empowerment.
Ink for Equality is the first tattoo benefit for the YWCA and staff are excited to bring a new type of fundraiser to the Topeka community. Sarah Swift, Resource and Development Director for the YWCA, hopes the event will open the door to new members, volunteers, and supporters.
People seeking to get tattooed for a good cause can visit Looking Glass Tattoo & Gallery at 2110 SW Brandywine Ln, Ste 140, Topeka, Kansas, KS 66614 on Saturday, June 3 from 11 a.m. – 7 p..m.
